COMMie COM is back. I keep reading that in every hip hop magazine I pick up. Yeah Common's latest drop is classic, soulful (as he puts it) hip hop but doesn't Common define classic hip hop? Think about his role in the creation of a track. He provides the sick flow and nasty hooks. I never tried to but if his last joint, Electric Circus, was broken down to acapellas no doubt we'd find there's madness in that album as well. The things you can do with that kind of genius. It's so nice to have NEW yet authentic jams to mess with on the 1's and 2's. I missed him, so much that I put everything from ..yes yes yawl and you don't stop.. to ..and you know yes you know.. acapellas over tracks like Generation of Drums and Afterdark's LL Cool DJS break mixes....yeah it's like that yawll. It gets hectic when something is missing.
