Resist hop is a move for those who take the music seriously. It represents Hip Hop's back to the basics uncommercialized roots with all its complexities. It represents a style of DJ ing and signature apparel that keeps hip hop alive in its purest and truest form. Question: is it the records that you play or is it how you play the records? I think both are vital, but a sick beat will ride out on its own. It is said that it's not whether you win or lose but how you play the game. Winning is the way the music makes you feel, dope beats with ridiculously hot lyrics that make you say ... wwoww... how'd they do dat do dat do dat dat dat (tribe). Some music gets so much airplay that you really believe you like the track just because you have subconsciously learned the lyrics word for word. That doesn't mean it's a winner, it's just game, where winning is equated with the amount of doe they walk with. Trueness to the game is considering consciousness over ego. Appealing to the masses is easy, impressing the discriminating is a much greater accomplishment. The True heads give respect to the original school that wrote the rules (I.N.I.) and resist the garbage beats and preschool lyrics that shouldn't be classified as hip hop. That's what I'm talking about.
